An Ocean Jasper "flame" becomes a one-of-a-kind wearable talisman in this sculptural unisex pendant.
The stone has an unusually earthy, camouflage-like palette of beige, rust, brown, green, gray, and orange, giving it the feel of something geological, ancient, and slightly untamed. I set it into a hand-sculpted bail, then painted and sealed the sculpted elements beneath a high-gloss glaze.
A row of oversized orange rhinestones adds an unexpected flash of glamour against the muted mineral tones — a deliberate contrast that keeps the piece from reading too rustic or predictable.
The pendant measures approximately 5.75" x 3", including the sculpted bail, and is suspended from a 28" beige cotton rope finished with hand-sculpted end caps.
