Beads are light enough so as to float - no neck strain!! This massive Haute Couture hand sculpted gold leaf Statement Necklace - Choker is primarily just jumbo gold leaf beads, glossy black rondelles with a gold glittered edge, faux pearls, square rhinestone rondelles, and gold metal balls. Adjusting from 21 - 24", this will fit more like 19 - 22" given the huge beads. The back is finished with faux pearls, gold tone hardware, an xl fancy lobster claw clasp, and a 3" extender chain. The beads are multilayered. It is not uncommon for some gold leaf to flake off with wear. This is normal and will not change the essence of the necklace. Beads range in size from approximately 1.5" up to 2.5".
