Edgy Hand-Sculpted Antler and Rose Statement Necklace
This dramatic one-of-a-kind statement necklace was an exceptionally labor-intensive piece, requiring two full days to sculpt, assemble, paint, and finish by hand.
In place of natural deer antlers, I created an original pair of sculpted antler forms and painted them a rich, glossy jet black. Two vivid red roses and hand-sculpted green leaves trail through the center, giving the piece the visual impact of ornamental body art without the permanence of a tattoo.
The sculptural focal measures approximately 10" x 10". Despite its substantial scale, the necklace is lightweight and comfortable to wear. It is shown with approximately 12" of black chain on each side, though the placement can be shortened so the piece sits higher across the upper chest or sternum.
The necklace closes with a dark gunmetal-black lobster claw clasp.
The entire piece has been sealed with a high-gloss protective glaze. Because micro-glitter was used in the floral details, a very small amount of glitter shedding may occur.
