I had a lot of fun creating this one-of-a-kind statement piece—an unapologetically oversized work of wearable art with rich color, texture, and movement.
At the center is a high-end druzy agate in striking shades of rust, beige, orange, gray, and cream. The stone is set into hand-sculpted proprietary material, then etched, painted with multiple finishes, and sealed beneath a high-gloss glaze to protect the surface and intensify the dimensional effect.
Above the agate sits a sculpted faceted orange crystal, while the lower portion is embellished with two rows of vintage brass mesh, rhinestone accents, an oval gold-tone crystal, and a final triangular crystal drop. The result is dramatic, architectural, and unmistakably Kat Kouture.
Despite its substantial visual presence, the piece is lightweight and comfortable to wear. The pendant measures approximately 10" high x 4" wide and is suspended from a fine gold-tone chain with an approximately 9" drop on each side. It closes with a slender brass hook. If desired, the chain can easily be replaced with another chain or cord of your choosing after purchase.
The reverse of the druzy section is finished with gold metallic animal-print upholstery fabric, added both as a decorative detail and to help prevent the vintage mesh from catching on clothing. One of a Kind Wearable Art from the Atelier of Kat Kouture.
